The sacred cave shrine of Vaishno Devi, the mother goddess is close to Jammu and pilgrims from all across the world start trekking the 13 km stretch to get there. Raghunath Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Lord Shri Rama has all its inner walls covered with gold, on three sides. The list of gardens it has to offer is simply mindboggling, some being Shalimar Garden, Badamwari, Harwan Garden, Parimahal and so on. Relics of its history can be seen in various monuments and treasures of the ancient and medieval history of this place is portrayed in museums like Kathi Darwaza, Tomb of Zain, Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum, Kargil War Memorial, Shri Pratap Singh Museum etc. Without visiting Kashmir, a trip to India is simply incomplete!
