Chandigarh is India’s first planned city whose architecture is marvellous and known all over the world. The first Prime Minister, Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru was closely involved with the project. The quality of life is simply unparalleled here and it is often referred to as the title of ‘Beautiful City’. Chandigarh, being the capital of the states of Punjab and Haryana, it is one of the most prestigious Union Territories of India.

Le Corbusier Centre, set up by the administration of Chandigarh is the mastermind behind the planned city of Chandigarh. The entire conception of the city is based on the four formulas; Living, Working, Taking care of the body, and lastly spirit and circulation. The leisure valleys, gardens, and evergreen forests and trees like Rajendra Park, Rose Garden, Shanti Gunj, Bougainvillea Garden, Topiary Park, Terraced Garden are truly the lungs of the city. The Capital Complex is another masterpiece by Le Corbusier Centre which is also the seat of the government comprising of the Legislative Assembly, High Court, and the Secretariat. The Open Hand monument situated there is a major tourist attraction along with others like the Tower of Shadows, Geometric Hill, and Martyr's Memorial.

The Rose Festival in Zakir Hussain Rose Garden happens every February, showing thousands of subspecies of roses, making it the perfect place for nature lovers. Whereas, in the middle of September and October during the festival of Navratri, many associations and organizations hold a Ramlila event, being carried out for more than five decades now. Sukhna Lake, a stretch for about 3km is the most picturesque location in Chandigarh and you cannot fail to miss it. It is one of the perfect places for joggers and walkers. Well, don’t hold yourself back from visiting one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities across the globe.
