Andaman and Nicobar Islands floating in splendid isolation in the Bay of Bengal, boast of freedom fighting days’ historically significant landmarks, being blessed with the bounties of both south-west and north-east monsoons and they have been declared as two of the 218 endemic bird areas of the world. 

At the capital of Andaman and Nicobar, Port Blair island offers water-based adventurous activities like snorkelling, sea kart, scuba diving, jet-ski ride, game fishing, sea cruises, bird watching which is surely a unique lifetime experience. It has more than ninety Wildlife sanctuaries some of which are Arial Island Wildlife Sanctuary, Belle Island Wildlife Sanctuary, Blister Island Wildlife Sanctuary; nine National Parks some of which are Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park which is a man-made park and Mount Harriet National Park. It is famous for endemic birds especially Parrot of various kinds. Isn’t it the ideal place for all wildlife and nature lovers?

The Island Tourism Festival is the annual cultural event organized especially for travellers, tourists, and the entertainment for islanders. The weekend market is organized at regular intervals providing an opportunity for the locals to showcase their local handicrafts, produce and enjoy the local cuisine. There are various pristine locations of historical importance which you cannot fail to miss, like Cellular Jail, Param Vir Chakra Memorial, Aberdeen Heritage Walk, Netaji Flag Hoisting Memorial, and the list goes on and on.
